Summer Intensive Program

The Academy of Dance offers a rigorous summer intensive program for beginning through advanced dancers. Our schedule and courses of study are similar to the offerings of stay-away summer intensives but are available at a fraction of the cost.

Our summer intensives feature classes in classical ballet technique, body conditioning, pointe/pre-pointe work, jazz, character, modern, contemporary, repertoire, and more. Space is limited!

A local composer has written two short piano pieces and has always envisioned them as ballets. Over the course of 8 weeks, our faculty will guide students through the process of choreographing, setting, editing, and rehearsing their own works set to these pieces. Students in this workshop will not only choreograph but also will perform their own work at our showcase during Open House on Saturday, August 27. The studio will furnish costumes for the event.
