Come explore the magic of ballet through movement, music, and more! Fairytale Ballet is an engaging introduction to the ballet

world for young dancers with or without prior experience. Each day consists of age-appropriate dance instruction, a themed craft, a healthy snack, and story time. The workshop will culminate in a mini-performance for parents.

This summer, our theme will be Hans Christian Andersen's "The Snow Queen." Join us to explore this enchanting story of courage, friendship, and magical mischief. Students will dance to music by Randall Michael Tobin, Tuomas Kantelinen, and Camille Saint-Saëns, which will make up the score of the Academy's own production of this ballet in 2023. Students will learn the story little by little through our daily story time using a beautiful pop-up book. Each day's dance lesson and craft will relate to the section of the story read that day. On Friday, family members are invited to join us for a demonstration in which the students will showcase all they have learned throughout the week.
