Fairytale Ballet is a workshop for young dancers with or without prior experience. Each workshop has a theme around which students take a pre-ballet class, make a craft, and listen to a story. A light snack is provided.
This summer, we are offering two week-long workshops.
June 24-28 will be a Midsummer Night's Dream workshop. Join us for a magical adventure full of fairies, music, and pranks gone wrong, as we explore the ballet adaptation of Shakespeare's classic comedy.
August 12-16's theme is Coppélia, a charming ballet whose story involves a lifelike doll and a comedic case of mistaken identity. Set to a light-hearted score by Leo Délibes, this ballet is fun for all ages.
Both workshops will end with a 15-minute showcase where the dancers will perform a short piece of choreography and demonstrate what they learned during the week.
Each workshop is divided into two sections based on age:
Ages 3-5 10-11:30 am
Ages 6-8 12:30-2:00 pm
Cost: $75 for one weeklong workshop or $140 for both workshops
