2007 - 2008 Dress Code

Hair

Please make the effort to put hair up neatly for ballet classes. The proper way to do this for long hair is with a secured pony tail that is twisted and then wrapped around and secured with several (10+) large hairpins (not bobbie pins) and surrounded with a hairnet. Twisting hair up into a large rubber band is a good way to take a bubble bath, but is not appropriate for ballet class. Snoods work for very little girls in Creative Movement, and Ballet Prep A and B, but do not keep hair secure enough for dancers in Level 1 and higher. Also, please use hairspray and/or gel to secure bangs and wisps. A neat appearance is really necessary in the training process.
