Ballet Program Pointe Work Modern, Jazz & Pilates

Jazz & Pilates Conditioning

Jazz & Pilates-based Conditioning

JAZZ This year Jazz is being offered at three levels. Dancer's enrolled in the ballet program have a designated level in jazz that they may enroll in. If a dancer wishes to enroll only in a Jazz class, their placement will be made according to their age and dance experience.

CONDITIONING Conditioning for dancers is a Pilates-based program that is tailored specifically to develop the strength and flexibility that is necessary for Classical Ballet dancers. This class is open to anyone wishing to improve their physical health. The program is offered at four levels this year. If a student is enrolled in the ballet program, the Conditioning levels will correspond to their level in ballet. If a student wishes to enroll only in a Conditioning class, their placement will be made according to their age and experience.

MODERN Modern is offered during our summer intensives at the intermediate and advanced levels.

Auditions for SYB I at 12:30 (ages 13 and up) and SYB II at 1:30 (ages 10 and up) will be held at the Academy of Dance on Saturday, September 11th. Dancers who are accepted into SYB I & II will be cast in "The Dancing Princesses" and need not reaudition on 9/18

Auditions for "The Dancing Princesses" will be held at the Academy of Dance on Saturday, September 18th. There are roles for girls and boys ages 5 and up. At least one year of ballet training is necessary.
